The Grand Nephew of Etta and Claribel Cone who gifted the Baltimore Museum of Art with the greatest Modern Art collection

in America, Billy has been chasing images for over 40 years.  He latently came on to the art scene in the 80's with paintings and later Matisse-like Picasso-Esque drawings.

His photography is what he is know for best.  Robert Doisneau and Cartier-Bresson come to mind.

"When you look at my photographs you see first and foremost, freedom.  By the Grace of God I have been free most of my

life to take any picture that I imagined to be beautiful and timeless forever.  For many, my black and whites send chills and

bring back the past of over 100 years ago. People love my statues."

Undercurrent Restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina created its interior out of Billy Cone's statues of Paris.

A gifted and self-taught eternal student of the arts, Billy trained at S.P.E.O.S. in Paris learning to shoot the nude and

the portrait.  Billy choose to run with it.  His four coffee table books are of purest emotion, "what art is about,"

in his own words.  The Paris shots begin this page.  Billy captured women going about their daily activities in high heels, a common phenomenon in Paris.  ENJOY!!!
